  • How do I start the process?

Please browse our Store. Once you've found your favorite keepsake, go ahead and place your order. After ordering, you'll receive a confirmation email that contains my shop address & detailed instructions to send me your inclusion.

  • What is the turn around time?

My current turnaround time is approximately 8-10 weeks from receipt of your materials to my shop. This turnaround time is subject to change at any time.  My jewelry items are collaborative, I work with my silversmith  who creates the setting for your jewelry. Please be aware that delays may occur and may effect overall turn-around time.

  • How do I take care of my keepsake?

The stone is water resistant and durable, but *please* do not immerse it in water. Do not wash your hands, swim or bathe with your jewelry. Avoid water altogether when wearing your keepsake.

Do not expose it to harsh chemicals (oil, lotions, hair products, cleaning products, etc.)

Exposure to excessive sunlight or heat can discolor the jewelry.

Remove your jewelry before exercising or bedtime.

When you’re not wearing it, store it in a jewelry box or the gift box the keepsake was sent in.

These  precious keepsakes are one-of-a-kind & irreplaceable, therefore please treat them as a precious heirloom. Breastmilk & other DNA inclusion jewelry is adornment jewelry. Please treat is as a precious heirloom. These keepsakes are not recommended for daily wear.

If your metal is turning black/brown this is called oxidation, which is totally normal in all metals & easily mended with a jewelry polishing cloth.

  • Can I change my order?

Once you submit your order your ring size, pigment & shimmer choices are final. If your address has changed, please email me to send me the updated shipping address.

  • What metals do you use?

I use 925 sterling silver, 14k gold, 10k gold, argentium silver, stainless steel and mixed metals. The metal used for each item is listed in the individual descriptions. There is also a category devoted to solid gold options in the store. If you have any questions about what a specific keepsake is made with, please e-mail me info@everlasting-heart.com. Thank you!

  • What will my stone be like?

Each stone is hand made - it will be soft, similar to an opal or pearl. You will want to treat your keepsake as if you were caring for a precious heirloom...gently & with respect.

  • How is breast milk jewelry made?

I preserve your milk naturally, dry it, grind it into a powder using my mortar and pestle and mold it into your unique milk stone.

  • Can I send more than one milk for a piece?

Yes, we can blend milk from multiple children into one keepsake.

  • How do I know it's actually my milk?

Once your milk is delivered it is labeled & kept with your invoice through out the entire process. I only work on 1 order out at a time to ensure no cross contamination occurs. I also share updates of milk preservations to my private Facebook group so you can see when your sample has been preserved.

  • Do you return my inclusion?

I will return any unused ashes, hair, flower, umbilical cord & placenta capsules. I do not send back leftover breast milk. Please do not mail me the last of any inclusion in case it is lost.damaged in transit.

  • How do I add pigment, shimmer/flakes to my DNA stone?

You can personalize your keepsake with colored pigments, shimmer or flakes by clicking the link here: https://www.everlasting-heart.com/store/Pigment-Shimmer-&-Flake-Selection-p374565680

  • Can my breast milk be frozen or expired?

Absolutely! I can use fresh, frozen and even expired breast milk since it’s not being used for human consumption. As long as your milk is not moldy, green or gray in color then your milk will be perfect to use. If it is frozen, I do ask that you thaw before sending to prevent leaks in transit.

  • How much of each inclusion do I send?
